    Chapters recruit. You join a LEAP chapter at your school to start building a network — events, service projects, and chances to meet professionals in your field.

    Educate. Chapters run workshops, skill-building sessions, and peer learning so members grow in their field before they ever apply anywhere.

    Connect. Members get plugged into mentors, alumni, and other chapters — real people who open doors, not just a list of links.

    Members grow. Officers and active members build a track record — leadership, hours logged, a real network — that carries past graduation.
Starting a chapter

What actually happens after you request the kit.

No approval committee, no waiting on national office — starting a LEAP chapter is a handful of concrete steps you control.

    Request the starter kit through Find your fit — pick your chapter and school, and the kit lands in your email.
  • 2
    Line up a faculty advisor if your school requires one for student clubs, and recruit a couple other interested students using the kit's email scripts.
  • 3
    Run your first meeting off the kit's 45-minute agenda — it walks through introducing the chapter, assigning the six officer roles, and setting your first-semester calendar.
  • 4
    Get listed. Once you've got officers in place, email us and your chapter's school and leadership go up on the Team page.
